Dusty was born & raised in Alaska, this is his 13th time racing in the Iron Dog 2009. Dusty works for Tesoro Nikiski Refinery as a Control Board Operator as well as a self-employed commercial fisherman. He and his wife Evelyn have three children- Kaiti, Shae, and Brayden. 3 Time Valdez Mayors Cup Champion in 2009, 2007, and 2004. In 2007 racing partner Tyson Johnson finished in 2nd by about 3 minutes and we beat the rest of the field by almost 20 minutes.

1st Place 2008 Hoodoo 150 Cross County (arctic man cross country)
1st place finisher in the “Intimidator” Klondike 150 cross country race in 2002. This was my first ever race and I won overall as a semi-pro beating all of the pro’s in overall course time by 15 minutes. Also finished 2nd in 2008 by only 26 seconds to racing partner Tyson Johnson.
Won the Stock King of the Hill title at the Alyeska Hill climbs in Girdwood, Alaska in April 2006 and 2007 by posting the fastest time up the hill for a stock sled. I also won the 600 stock, 600 improved stock, 700 stock, and 700 improved, all on the same stock 600 cc sled.

Countless other top 5 finishes in every venue of snowmobile racing from sno-cross, to hill-climbs, to hill-cross, to cross-country, to ice grand prix.

4 time Arctic Man Ski and Sno-Go Classic Champion (www.arcticman.com) in only 4 years competing. 1st place as a rookie team in 2003. Set a new course record in 2004 and then again in 2007 and are dubbed “the fastest team in Arctic Man history” by the Anchorage Daily News.
5 time top 5 finisher in the longest snowmobile race in the world, the Tesoro Iron Dog. Top finishes were 2nd in 2007 with partner Tyler Aklestad and 3rd in 1999 at only 19 years old.
1st Place 2008 Valdez Mayors Cup Cross Country. Also finished 3rd, 4th, and 2nd in 2001, 2003, and 2004
1st place in the Lake Lucille 500 mile ice spring classic in March 1999 on a stock 440 machine against 800 class sleds.
1st place in the “Eliminator” Klondike 400 cross country team race in February 2002 and set a new course record.
3 time 1st place finisher in the “Intimidator” Klondike 150 cross country race in 2001, 2004, and 2008.
Won both Pro Open and Pro Stock at the first sno-cross race of the ’04-’05 season in December ’04. Unfortunately it was the only race that I would compete in this year as I was injured on Jan, 8 with a broken wrist and femur.
3rd in the state of Alaska for the 2002-2003 sno-cross season in both Pro Stock and Pro Open classes on the same 440 machine.

2nd place in overall club points for the 1998-99 season for the Alaska Motor Mushers Club.
2nd place at the Alaska Regional WSA sno-cross in both Pro Open and Pro Stock in Jan, 04.
